At the last minute we had a rush applications for this year’s Summer Seminars on Intelligent Design and drew the inference that if we insisted on the April 2 deadline, we’d be excluding a lot of students who just heard about the program. The last minute rush might have had something to do with the fact that Doug Axe spoke to a student group at Harvard days before yesterday’s official deadline fell. Whatever the case, the Center for Science & Culture has decided to act mercifully and extend the deadline for applying until April 15. You are welcome!
Find more information and the online application on Discovery Institute’s website. The program is selective, but for those admitted the Seminars are cost-free, including air travel as needed. They are intended for undergraduates and graduate students in the sciences and humanities who want to study with the top scientists in the field of ID. You will learn about the science that your professors wouldn’t dare talk about fairly.
If you know a student who would benefit, let her know now! Applying in not onerous, but of course we understand that students are faced with other deadlines in their studies as well. Hence the gesture of leniency. The Seminars run from July 5 to 13, here in Seattle. Instructors include Behe, Meyer, Gauger, Axe, Nelson, West, Bechly, Sternberg, Richards, Miller, and more.
