You’ve got to hand it to Jerry Coyne at Why Evolution Is True: He gets all the best videos of animals performing amazing and/or adorable human-like tricks, including this one that he highlights today. And so this afternoon our home resounds with the crooning of this very cute and talented green parrot, who sings in Russian while she and her owner take a shower. My wife, born in Moscow, observes with admiration, “She sounds like she should be wearing a kerchief on her head.” (The classic fashion accoutrement of the Russian babushka.)

UPDATE: My wife, Nika, also suggests that this bird would do well selling flowers in the Moscow metro.
