Climate change and Darwinian evolution seem, at first glance, to have little in common. One deals with the future, the other with the deep past. One deals with predicted changes in the state of the atmosphere. The other with actual changes in living creatures. Yet both are subjects of intense controversy, where one side assumes the mantle of “scientific consensus” and condemns “skeptics” as “denialists,” and “anti-science” — in a word, as heretics. What do the two intense controversies have in common? Is it “anti-science” to doubt the “consensus”?

Today in the second hour of the Michael Medved Show’s Science & Culture Update, Mr. Medved will discuss science and “anti-science” with Center for Science & Culture director Stephen Meyer (author of Darwin’s Doubt) and Christopher Booker, a columnist for the London Telegraph. Booker is the author of The Real Global Warming Disaster, which The London Observer described as “the definitive climate skeptics’ manual.”
