It’s coming on September 18, 2012, from Discovery Institute Press and edited by Center for Science & Culture associate director Dr. John West. Taking its title from an intriguing comment by C.S. Lewis that science and magic are twins, The Magician’s Twin: C.S. Lewis on Science, Scientism, and Society probes Lewis’s warnings about the dehumanizing impact of scientism on ethics, politics, faith, reason, and science itself — and his views on bioengineering, eugenics, evolution…and, yes, intelligent design.

The book will accompanied by a new website and documentary. Look here for more information soon!

Science and Culture

Science and Culture Today (SCT) provides original reporting and analysis about evolution, neuroscience, bioethics, intelligent design and other science-related fields, including breaking news about scientific research. It also covers the impact of science on culture and conflicts over free speech and academic freedom in science. Finally, it fact-checks and critiques media coverage of scientific issues.
